Golden Elderberry, is a deciduous shrub that grows best in full sun to partial shade. It prefers moist, well-drained soils and can tolerate a wide range of soil types. At maturity, it can reach a height of 8-10 feet with a similar spread. Its foliage is a bright golden yellow and is composed of opposite pinnate leaves with 5-7 leaflets. In late spring to early summer, it produces flat-topped clusters of creamy-white flowers that give way to small, dark purple berries in the fall.
