John Davis Rose
from $29.00
Zone 3a - Canada. Svejda, 1986 - 2.25m / 7.5ft
Parentage: Rosa kordesii × (Red Dawn × Suzanne o.p.)
Semi-double blooms are the pinkest of pinks. Bob says if he could pick one true representative of the colour pink, it would be this pink. There are no hints of red, or orange, or purple. The plant is vigorous and somewhat sprawling, but does not sucker. To use this as a climber, you’ll need to tie up the canes to create height. We have never experienced winter injury on this rose, not even on one bud. As with many of the Explorer Series roses, this one is highly disease resistant, though it does attract sawfly and leafhoppers early in the season.
