Late season
Bramley has excellent culinary characteristics, and is extremely large in size. A somewhat blocky, round fruit, the skin is grass-green with red striping where exposed to sun. Bramley has a short thick stem. This apple tends to ripen around mid-late October in New Brunswick. The flesh is white, often tinged with green. It keeps well in cold storage till around mid-winter. Fruit and leaves are both resistant to apple scab.
Bramley is a triploid apple and will require pollination from two diploid cultivars.
