This plant will top 8ft if left to its own devices and no pruning is done. Its stems can be as thick as tree branches. Blooms are large and quite double, but the colour is what commands attention. It is lavender-rose and built similar to the flower of a peony. May see the occasional repeat as the bush ages. Hardy to -40°.
