Acer saccharinum

Fast growing large native tree with deeply lobed light green leaves. Smooth grey bark when the tree is young, but ages to dark reddish brown. Silver maple prefers moist soil but will grow in nearly any soil type. Excellent for difficult conditions where land is poorly drained and heavy. Extremely vigorous growth and large requiring plenty of room to grow.
