Hydrangea paniculata ‘Little Lime’
Just a lil’ guy compared to its famous sibling, ‘Limelight’, this hydrangea stands between 3’-5’ at maturity with the cutest pompom flowerheads and a compact, bushy growth habit. Growing on strong woody stems that deter drooping, the flower heads emerge as lime green, changing to a creamy white, and on to pink burgundy as they age regardless of soil pH. The flowers, fresh or dried, function well as cut flowers for arrangements or bouquets. Pruning best practices involves late winter, or early spring; blooms occur on the current season’s growth. Ideal growth in full sun to part shade and well drained, moist soil.
