Zone 3 - 20m / 65ft - Acer saccharinum ‘Lockstead’

This introduction was found by New Brunswick plantsman Norman Stewart. It has the narrowest leaf lobes of any silver maple in cultivation. This plant roots well, giving the advantage of an own rooted tree. It will tolerate very moist soils and heavier clay soils. Often found along rivers, lakes and streams. Good yellow fall colour.
