Work With Us

We’re always looking for people who care deeply about plants, people, and good work. If that sounds like you, here’s who we’re hiring for right now:

Landscaper

As a Landscaper at Corn Hill Nursery, you’ll help install and maintain stunning landscapes for both our clients and the nursery. Your work will involve designing and constructing natural stone pathways, steps, and retaining walls using dry stone techniques. You’ll operate various landscaping equipment, including skid steers, excavators, and tractors. Other responsibilities include site preparation, grading, planting flowers, shrubs, and trees, and general maintenance tasks such as weeding, pruning, and soil preparation. You’ll also collaborate with the owner to bring landscape designs to life and keep daily progress reports.

What We’re Looking For:

Experience with heavy equipment like skid steers and excavators is a plus, but a willingness to learn is just as valuable. If you have a background in dry stone construction or natural stone landscaping, that’s an advantage. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail are essential, along with the ability to read and follow landscape designs. Prior landscaping experience and plant knowledge are beneficial but not required. Formal training in landscaping is a plus but not necessary.

Work Conditions & Requirements:

This is an outdoor position that requires working in various weather conditions. The work is physically demanding, involving lifting, bending, kneeling, and repetitive tasks. Steel-toed boots and gloves are required. Since this is an on-the-road position, travel to client sites is necessary. This is a seasonal job running from April to November, with the potential for long-term opportunities for the right candidate.

What You’ll Gain:

At Corn Hill Nursery, you’ll be part of an award-winning team, expanding your skills in natural stonework and sustainable landscaping. You’ll work in a beautiful, inspiring environment and be part of a close-knit team team that values craftsmanship and sustainability.

Cook at the Cedar Café

We’re looking for a hardworking, down-to-earth individual to join our kitchen team at the Cedar Café. We believe in working together to create a welcoming place for both staff and visitors. This is a seasonal position, as our café operates from spring through early fall and closes from October to April.

It is our intent to hire someone who would like to be trained and stay as a long-term member of our team. As a member of our team, your duties can include preparing salads, sandwiches, soups, and desserts, ensuring ingredients are fresh and properly stocked, assembling plates for service, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace. You may also assist with dishwashing and general kitchen upkeep as needed. There is also the opportunity to cook and work on our famous stone pizza oven. We often share duties and find hard roles to be limiting. Everyone will receive a tip out.

The ideal candidate is hardworking, reliable, and able to work well in a team environment. Prior cooking experience is an asset, but we’re happy to train the right person.

Retail Store Worker

Are you someone with experience in horticulture or nursery work who also enjoys helping people? We’re currently looking for a friendly, reliable, and curious person to join our seasonal team in the retail store at Corn Hill Nursery.

This role involves helping customers choose the right plants, answering questions (with support from our team when needed), restocking inventory, tidying displays, and keeping the store running smoothly during the busy growing season. It’s a fast-paced environment, but also a rewarding one — especially if you enjoy talking about plants, working with a supportive crew, and being part of a place that values knowledge, community, and care.

We’re looking for someone who’s approachable, well-organized, and genuinely interested in becoming a long-term part of our team. This position begins soon and runs through the growing season, with the hope of welcoming you back year after year.
