Large, dense dark green needled pine resistant to salt. Broad conical tree with upright branching habit. Often used along the sea shore. Be watchful for yellow/orange needles on the bottom branches. This is caused by diplodia tip blight, which moves from the bottom branches upward and if not caught can eventually kill the tree. It attacks pines with 2 needle bundles.
