Henry Hudson Rose
from $29.00
Zone 2b - Canada. Svejda, 1979 - 1.5m / 5ft
Parentage: Rosa rugosa Schneezwerg o.p.
An introduction from Agriculture Canada’s Explorer series, Henry Hudson has deep green foliage, and white flowers that bloom continuously in waves. The buds begin tipped pink then open to a showy display of pure white petals. We find this rose to grow taller than listed elsewhere, and its spreading, dense nature makes it ideal for hedging. Henry Hudson does hold on to spent blooms, so picking off old flowers may be best for appearances. If you leave them, you’ll have a lovely crop of orange-red hips to harvest in the fall.
