Marechal Foch, often called Foch, is considered one of the hardiest high-quality European wine grapes, making it a top choice for northern vineyards. The small, dark purple berries are known for their rich, full-bodied flavour, and the variety is commonly used in Maritime vineyards for producing red wines. Disease-resistant and well-suited to colder climates, Marechal Foch thrives in well-drained soil with a pH of 6–7.
