Giant Fleece Flower. Persicaria polymorpha.

A Swedish gardener once told us ‘You have to get Persicaria polymorpha’. So we imported it from Europe, where it was better known. We are so glad we added this amazing perennial to our collection. It forms a massive tall plant, growing each year from the ground to near 3m tall. The plant is sterile, so it continues blooming virtually all summer and never sets seed. Although related to the dreaded Japanese knotweed, it does not spread and take over the world, just its small part of it. Perfect for the back of a large bed or the center of a large bed. If you have the room, you have to get Persicaria polymorpha.
