Parentage: Believed to be a chance cross of Pyrus ussuriensis and Pyrus communis sent to the University of Minnesota by John Gaspard of Caledonia, Minnesota

Green with red blush, crisp sweet flesh similar to Asian pear. Ripe at our site in mid-August. Excellent pollinator for others such as Patten and Luscious.
