Parentage: Bartlett × Flemish Beauty, developed by the Clapp family of Dorchester, Massachusetts in the mid 19th century.
An early cultivar with yellow skin that blushes red at maturity. It has a soft buttery flesh. A well known cultivar that has done well here. The tree is vigorous and upright. Very resistant to scab.
