Juice

Valiant is the hardiest cultivated grape variety, developed in South Dakota. This grape produces dark purple-black berries in tight clusters and is best known for its mild flavour, making it ideal for juicing. While it is highly resistant to cold, it is susceptible to downy mildew, so protective measures are recommended. For mildew control, a mixture of 3 parts water to 1 part milk has been shown to be as effective as harsher chemical fungicides. Valiant thrives in well-drained soils with a pH of 6–7.
