Yarlington Mill has the perfect blend of bitter and sweet, which is excellent for varietal ciders. The fruit of Yarlington Mill is yellow-green becoming lightly striped with pinkish red and some blushing of the same colour where the sun hits. It requires a long season to ripen. Thinning crops will help avoid fruit bearing biennially. Somewhat susceptible to fireblight, scab, and mildew. Fruit is ready to harvest in November.
