Picea abies ‘Nidiformis’

Very popular spreading plant with a depressed centre. Very dense with tiny needles. Although it stays small for many years it will eventually grow into a 2m high and wide plant. The oldest plant in our display garden is such a nest spruce. Charming plant. Found, probably as a witch’s broom, in Hamburg Germany before 1904.
