Parentage: color sport of William Baffin
This rose is a colour sport of William Baffin. It was discovered growing from a William Baffin on Grand Lake in New Brunswick. Cuttings were taken to propagate here at Corn Hill Nursery. The man who owned the original plant, Jim Nicholson, named the rose after his aunt, Lucy Irene. It is similar to William Baffin in all respects besides the colour.
