Developed in Toronto by Fred Jansen, Glowing Heart is a striking apple known for its pink and white marbled flesh. High in acidity, it is best suited for cooking, cider, and making richly flavoured red jelly rather than fresh eating.

The fruit is medium-sized with a round shape and a yellow-green skin that develops a red blush. The tree is hardy and productive, with an upright growth habit that spreads slightly with age.
